Solar energy to increase sixfold by 2030 [Video]
A new report from the International Renewable Energy Agency has projected the amount of power generated by solar panels will increase sixfold by 2030. Much of this increase will be linked to a decline in the cost of production of solar systems, making them competitive with natural gas and coal-fired plants.
According to IREA projections, the cost of solar panels will fall 59 percent by 2025, making solar the cheapest form of power generation.
As the world’s largest solar panel manufacturer, Trina Solar is committed to supporting the continued growth of solar power as a clean energy source for a more sustainable future.
