New York solar takes off [Video]
Solar energy generation is growing in the state of New York at an ever-accelerating pace.
According to the New York State Public Service Commission, consumer interest in solar has exploded over the last four years. Interconnection applications increased from 1,200 in 2010 to more than 11,000 in 2015. The state announced it will support consumer solar by streamlining the approval process with utility companies that allows residential solar systems to connect to the electrical grid. The state is also hoping to see more utility-scale projects come online over the next couple years.
As the world’s leading solar manufacturer, Trina Solar is committed to supporting the growth of residential solar as a clean and renewable energy source for a more sustainable future.
