North American leaders announce new renewable energy goals [Video]
The renewable energy market in North America may have just gotten a great deal larger and more enticing for investors and end users.
At the recent North American Leaders Summit, the heads of the U.S., Canada and Mexico set a goal that would see entire continent generate 50 percent of its energy from clean, renewable sources by 2025, the White House reported.
Further, in an effort to accommodate greater sharing of renewable energy across borders, policymakers have agreed to build cross-border transmissions to facilitate the transfer of energy from one country to the next. As a leading manufacturer of solar panels, Trina Solar remains committed to supporting the growth of North American solar energy.
